Hase Loves Music

After over nine months in the womb, we weren’t sure what kind of music Hase would be interested in. Of course he loves white noise and rhythmic machines, but we have also been happily surprised to see him excited for Toots and the Maytals and Otis Redding. His favorite song is ‘Sitting on the Dock of the Bay,’ which we sing while he is on the changing table. Legs in the air, arms out, he likes to coo and ah between the breaks ( ‘Watching the tide roll away’ … sing Otis and Alex … ‘Ah!’ sings Hase). We are still working on the timing, but his singing voice is really coming along. For more mellow times, he also enjoys Blaze Foley and Townes Van Zandt.
